| MOSCOW (AP) -- Organizers of the Kremlin Cup expect a
No. 1 player for the first time in the tournament's 11-year history, Martina
Hingis of Switzerland.
Top Russian players Marat Safin and Yevgeny Kafelnikov also will compete
in the tournament, which begins Monday.
The women's field also will have No. 2 Lindsay Davenport and No. 7 Nathalie
Tauziat of France.
The only two top 10 players on the men's side are No. 2 Safin, winner
of the U.S. Open, and Olympic champion Kafelnikov, No. 7.
