FILDERSTADT, Germany (Reuters) - World number one Martina Hingis took just
48 minutes to crush Jennifer Capriati in the Filderstadt Grand Prix Wednesday.
Hingis, beaten by world number three Venus Williams in the semifinals
of the Grand Slam Cup in Munich Friday, won 6-4 6-0.
Despite the ease of her victory, Hingis admitted to losing concentration
at times during her match.
She will meet either France's Nathalie Dechy or Dominique van Roost
of Belgium in the quarter-finals.
World number two Lindsay Davenport scored an even more convincing victory
over Silvia Farina of Italy, winning 6-0 6-1.
